Braeburn EarlyON
Indoor Programming during COVID-19
September 2021

Braeburn EarlyON will be offering indoor programming starting in September.

Registration is first call, first served. Participants can register by phone (647) 273-5558. If you haven’t pre-registered and there are spaces available on the first day of the session, we will do our best to accommodate you. Spaces are limited so that we can ensure that physical distancing can be maintained.

Families will register for the entire program as we will maintain the same cohorts throughout the session.

Everyone in a family/caregiver group must pass the COVID-19 screening. Contact tracing information will also be collected.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate drop-in visits. Families will be asked to arrive at a designated time frame to avoid congestion at screening areas. If you or anyone in your group does not feel well on the day of the session, please call EarlyON but do not come in person. We will provide you with a screening tool so that you can pre-screen at home

Code of Conduct: As part of the registration process, you are agreeing to follow our established code of conduct regarding masks, physical distancing, and frequent hand sanitizing. We want you to be supported but if you cannot follow the code of conduct, you will be asked to leave the program. If you have a mask exemption, please let a EarlyON team member know when registering.

Masks must be worn at all times by participants two years and up while on Braeburn premises, both indoors and out. If you need a mask exemption, the EarlyON Manager or designate needs to be informed during business hours at least one day prior to program arrival. For example, if you need to request a mask exemption for a program that starts on a Monday, it needs to be requested by 5pm on the Thursday.

We can’t allow you to eat while you are here but we will send you home with a snack for everyone in your group.

Physical distancing between groups is always necessary. A group is defined as a parent or caregiver and the children that have been registered under their name. We will have seating arranged to support physical distancing.

Staff also need to practice physical distancing . That means that we need to continue to wave, nod, say hello to each other but not to hug or touch anyone who isn’t in your registered group.

Hand Sanitizing stations will be set up in various places within the program space. We need you to sanitize your hands when you arrive and frequently during the program. Participants are asked to use hand sanitizer on hands after using the washroom, covering a cough or sneeze, before and after putting on or taking off a mask and before and after feeding or changing an infant.

When you arrive: Follow the signs to the designated screening, sign in and attendance recording area. The Braeburn EarlyON screener will confirm that you are on the list of registered participants for your session. Masks need to be worn by all participants 2 years of age and over.

If you have a stroller, please drop it off first in the designated stroller storage area. Please apply hand sanitizer before and after filling in Screening form and your contract tracing information. A clean pen will be provided for you to use. The screening area is set up to allow six feet of space between you and other participants waiting to sign in. There will be a clear divider at the screening station. If anyone in your group does not pass the screening or if anyone does not complete it, your group will not be able to attend the session.

We ask that all personal items (soothers, infant food etc) are labelled before arriving to ensure that they are not shared.

We request that you limit the number of personal items brought to the outdoor EarlyON program.
